About Our Furniture
What kind of furniture does FCI India make?
We design and manufacture bespoke furniture of every kind — living room, dining, bedroom, study, outdoor, built-in joinery, and commercial furniture. Every piece is made to your exact specifications in our own workshops in Mumbai. We do not sell mass-produced or flat-pack furniture. See our full range of services.
Do you only make custom furniture, or do you sell ready-made pieces?
Our core business is bespoke — furniture designed and built specifically for you. However, we do maintain a selection of ex-display and ready-to-deliver pieces in our showroom. Visit us or browse our online catalogue to see what is available.
What materials do you work with?
We work with premium solid woods (teak, sheesham, walnut, oak, maple, ash), over 200 upholstery fabrics and leathers, a full range of metal finishes (brass, chrome, matte black, gold, antique bronze), and various lacquers and polishes. Can you match an existing piece or replicate a design I have seen?
Yes. Bring us a photograph, a magazine clipping, or even a rough sketch and we can create something similar — or use it as a starting point for something entirely new. Our design team is experienced at interpreting references and adapting them to your space, budget, and material preferences.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Absolutely. We have collaborated with Mumbai’s architectural and design community since 1964. We offer dedicated trade accounts with preferential pricing, priority scheduling, and a dedicated project manager. For architects | For interior designers.
Process & Timelines
How does the process work from start to finish?
Every project follows our proven six-step process: initial consultation, material selection, detailed drawings and approval, manufacturing, finishing and inspection, and delivery with installation. How long does it take to make bespoke furniture?
Timelines depend on complexity. A simple coffee table or side table typically takes 3–4 weeks. A dining table with chairs might take 6–8 weeks. A complete home furnishing project — covering multiple rooms — can require 8–12 weeks. We give you a realistic timeline before you commit and keep you updated throughout production.
Can I visit the workshop during production?
Yes, and we encourage it. Many clients and trade partners visit our Central Mumbai or Vasai workshops to see their furniture being made. We also provide regular progress photographs via WhatsApp or email. Your project manager will arrange visits at convenient times.
What if I want to change something after approving the design?
Minor changes (finish shade, fabric choice) can usually be accommodated if production has not progressed past the relevant stage. Structural changes after production begins may affect cost and timeline. We are always transparent about the implications of changes and will advise you honestly.
Pricing & Payment
How much does bespoke furniture cost?
Pricing depends entirely on the design, materials, and complexity of each piece. A custom side table might start from ₹15,000–25,000, while a fully bespoke dining table in premium walnut could range from ₹1,50,000 upwards. We provide detailed quotations that itemise materials, labour, and finishes — so you know exactly what you are paying for, with no hidden costs.
What are your payment terms?
We typically work with a 50% deposit on order confirmation, with the balance due before delivery. For large projects, we can arrange milestone-based payments. Trade accounts may qualify for different terms. All payment structures are agreed in writing before work begins.
Do you offer an interior design consultation?
Yes. We charge an initial design consultation fee which covers one site visit, meetings with our design team, and two design options presented at our showroom. If you proceed with the order and place a 40% confirmation deposit, the design fee is reimbursed against your order. Get in touch to book.
Delivery & After-Sales
Do you deliver across India?
We deliver throughout Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region with our own vehicles and installation teams. For deliveries to other Indian cities — Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and beyond — we work with specialist furniture logistics partners to ensure safe transit. International shipping can be arranged on request.
Is delivery and installation included in the price?
Local delivery and standard installation within Mumbai are typically included. For complex installations, built-in furniture, or deliveries outside Mumbai, installation and logistics costs are quoted separately and agreed upfront.
What guarantee do you offer on your furniture?
We stand behind every piece we make. Our furniture is built to last decades, and we provide care and maintenance guidance for every material we use. Should any manufacturing defect arise, we will repair or replace the affected component. We also offer refinishing, re-upholstery, and restoration services for furniture that needs refreshing over time.
Can you repair or restore existing furniture?
